The elements of design include line, shape, color, space, size, value, and texture, while the principles of design consist of contrast, repetition, alignment, proximity, direction, and balance. Together, they serve as the foundation for creating strong visual design. The elements and principles of design are important to the profession of graphic design because they are effective tools for creating visual content that is both appealing and informative. Using these elements helps me come up with great sign layouts, like in this sign I designed and hand painted, where I focused on balance, contrast, and color harmony to make the overall design feel cohesive and eye-catching :3
